Casting is a manufacturing process by which a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is also known as a casting, which is ejected or broken out of the mold to complete the process. Casting materials are usually metals or various cold setting materials that cure after mixing two or more components together. Casting is most often used for making complex shapes that would be otherwise difficult or uneconomical to make by other methods.

“Cascade” executes high-quality art casting with the help of the following methods:

  • investment pattern casting;
  • cold hardening compounds casting;
  • sand-clay molds casting;
  • plaster molds vacuum casting.

Casting by investment patterns is a method of obtaining moulds in shell moulds, produced by refractory coating of fusible models. With the help of this method you can produce moulds of different complexity and with different thickness of sides.

Cold hardening compounds casting is a method based on compounds production applying artificial thermoactive resins which accelerate the process of forms hardening (no additional drying is needed). The use of cold hardening compounds casting allows achieving the reduction of time of production process and achieving the possibility to produce large-sized custom-made castings.

Sand-clay molds casting is relatively simple method of obtaining casts.  Sand-clay molds are made of molding sand in flasks with the help of models. Еxternal shape of casts corresponds to mold hollows, holes are produced with pivot inserted inside the cavity.

Plaster molds vacuum casting let the possibility to make awkward shape detailes that can't be done by other methods. It permits to produce high quality casts (quality comparable with of the finished goods). This method is suitable for all types of metal, such as aluminium, magnesium, zink, brass, bronze and their alloys.
